AFP and PPP
McKay-Cocker has participated on several teams in pursuit of Alternative Financing and Procurement (AFP), Public Private Partnership (PPP) projects in the past several years. With the growth of this procurement method across the Ontario construction market McKay-Cocker made the decision to enter market with pursuits of Bridgepoint Hospital, Regional Mental Health Care, London and St. Thomas and the St. Thomas Courthouse.
The AFP/PPP procurement method brings together consortiums of companies together that bring vastly different skill sets to the table. This coming together has started to blur the lines between traditional construction companies and what is emerging as the new era of construction. Collaboration, Design-Build and integrated project delivery are the way of the future. Whether it be in AFP/PPP or new delivery methods not yet known to the general market the industry has been changed forever.
Today we continue to evaluate the market opportunities in AFP/PPP in the Ontario market and will strategically pursue projects that fit our vision of the future.
