Overview

Churchill Logistics was founded more than fifty years ago and today the business is operated by the third generation of Churchill’s. Since their humble beginnings with just one truck, Churchill has grown into a strong and reliable company focusing on logistics, warehousing, material handling, distribution, transportation and export services. Today, they have over fifty employees and over two hundred and ten thousand square feet of warehousing.

This latest facility incorporates an injection moulding facility for Arkal Plastic Products, Israel’s largest manufacturer of injection-moulded technical parts, components and consumer products for a variety of applications from Healthcare to Automotive.

The building is located on a ten acre parcel of land with multiple expansion directional capabilities for a facility three and a half times its current size. Current parking is provided for forty vehicles and additional facilities are provided for trailers parking. All topsoil and excavated material remain on site and form landscaped berms to the property.

The production facility incorporates structure for the fifteen ton overhead crane, equipment bases for the injection moulding equipment and material storage silos and upgraded incoming electrical services with expansion provisions built in whilst the warehousing provides thirty two feet of clear height for racking requirements. Production and warehousing are separated by a fire wall to enable dual occupancy of the building if required.

The early suppression fast response sprinkler system, with a diesel pump allows for maximizing the storage height in the warehousing whilst providing production to the plastics manufacturing area.

Shipping and receiving is managed via ten docking positions and an additional five positions framed in ready for future expansion, plus two drive in door locations.

Thirty two hundred square feet of offices serve as administration, receiving, dispatch and staff facilities for the sixty nine thousand square foot initial plant and warehousing phase of this facility.
